Nicole Kidman has recently shocked the world with a new transformation. Yes, it is “new”. Plastic surgeons have already helped her grow prettier; but until now, these artificial changes were only visible to professionals. And now, the actress who used to have really thin and flat mouth, has shown her face with those “pouty lips”. A faint scar above the upper lip gives the new method away.
It wasn’t due to the Restylane or Juvéderm shots that her lips got fuller. It wasn’t the gel injections: the actress got cheiloplasty – a procedure that surgically moves the margins of the patient’s lips and alters the size or height of the pink part of the lip.

A strip of skin is taken away from the lip margins when a cheiloplasty procedure is performed. Once the wound is closed, the actual lip then rolls in an outward direction so that the lip, in effect, appears to pout more. It increases the height of the pink part of the upper lip and reduces the length between the underneath of the nose and the pink margin of the lip. This procedure results in a scar across the upper edge of the pink part of the lips, exactly where there is a natural line anyhow.
