Donatella Versace and her breast implants

Beauty fades,
but breast implants
last for ever…

Unless covered by enough fat tissue or muscles (in submuscular implant placement) your implants will look like two grapefruit halves – not like natural breasts at all.

Like all other patients, Donatella Versace could have chosen submusclular implant placement, but she didn’t. Why?

First of all, putting an implant under the muscle is extremely painful – according to many patients. After the surgery is over, most patients feel as if they were beaten on the back and have to swallow pain killers. Secondly, your surgeon might not have enough experience in this specific area. Submuscular placement requires great skills and detailed knowledge of female anatomy from a plastic surgeon.

During the surgery, a surgeon has to perform a complicated maneuver: he has to separate a few muscle fibers and to create a pocket to insert the implant – all done blindly. As a result, the implant will be covered with the muscle tissue and the breasts will look natural. As you may see, Donatella’s implants are placed above the muscle. This is less painful for the patient, easier for the plastic surgeon to perform, and it looks absolutely fake. Thank you.
